ADDING A USER-DEFINED NUTRIENT TO THE DATABASE

Software program: Genesis R&D Food and Food Processor

This tutorial shows you how to create a new nutrient. Occasionally, it may be necessary to add your own nutrients to the database. You can add anything which has a number tied to it, such as whole grains. These nutrients act no differently from the included nutrients. User-created nutrients can be added to Ingredients and recipe analysis reports. They cannot, however, appear on a Nutrition Facts Label.
Note: this process is similar in both Food Processor and Genesis R&D Food programs.
