ESHA Employees Give Back to the Community by Volunteering at Wake the World

Employees will help treat area foster children to a day of fun on the water

Salem, OR—This July, employees from ESHA Research, a Salem, OR, nutrition analysis and label-compliance software company, will volunteer their time at a Wake the World Oregon event, geared to giving foster children and their foster families a day of boating, skiing, and other watersports at Foster Reservoir, 55 miles southeast of Salem.

“This is an opportunity for us to give back to our community and bring smiles to a lot of kids,” said Chris Eakin, Director of Sales, ESHA Research, who is organizing ESHA’s participation in the event. “I’ve been volunteering at this event for the past 5 years and am thrilled that the rest of the ESHA team will be joining me. It’s such a wonderful experience seeing the kids light up when 40 ski boats come around the bend in unison to pick them up. Every year the volunteers walk away wearing those smiles on our hearts.”

ESHA employees along with other volunteers in the community will spend the day with local foster families and provide a fun-filled day on the lake as well as meals throughout the day.

“Volunteer day is a source of pride for our employees, who are eager to make positive contributions in our community,” said Craig Bennett, CEO of ESHA. “Working together on something like this really underlines that we’re a team and that we’re an important part of the community.”

The event is July 24 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. To learn more about the event or learn how to volunteer, visit the Wake the World website at http://www.waketheworld.org/oregon.
