Tracking Chemical Impurities

Chemical Impurities are components found in ingredients that (when consumed in high doses) are known to be toxic for humans. California Proposition 65 requires that companies inform the public about the presence of certain materials in the products they sell.

The program now lets users track and report chemical impurities while highlighting when the amount in a formula exceeds designated thresholds as laid out in Prop. 65, for Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Tungsten, and Arsenic.

Two-Column Label Template

We've added a new label template to the program that enables users to create a two-column label. This label format can be used for certain package sizes that need to accommodate a long list of ingredients. This option is in addition to the existing tabular and linear labels.

Label Display Serving Size Options

The label displays the serving size that was set on the formula. In the Serving Size options section, there is now an "Override the serving size" checkbox that gives users the option to enter and display custom serving size text.

NOTE: Changes made here will not affect other label templates for the same formula

Footnotes for the Linear Label

We also added footnote options for the Linear label. When working with a Linear label, you will now see the following options under the Footnotes section:

  • Show ‘Percent Daily Values are based on a 2000 calorie diet’
  • Show ‘Daily Value not established †’ icon
  • Show ‘DV = Daily Value’

Formula Cost Unit Options

Previously, cost was only displayed per serving.  You can now select the unit used to calculate and display cost.

Export One Ingredient/Formula at a Time

You can now export one ingredient or formula at a time in addition to all of your items at once.
