Could be a number of things, most commonly the databases are not in the current format. Close the program, and launch the Maintain program (maintain.exe) in the same directory as Food Processor. A shortcut for this gets built by default under Start>Programs>Esha>Database Maintenance. Once in, select the path of the location of the database in question, then select it from the Database Files list. With it highlighted, click File, then Update Database Tables (ctrl + U). When finished, try saving a record again.
